Grey’s Anatomy S6 E3- I Always Feel Like Somebody’s Watching Me

Yeah, I didn’t get this in on time. My greatest apologies.

Things I Liked:

-Owen and Cristina. “You’re comparing this merger to the Holocaust?” “I’m Jewish, I’m allowed.”

- The cut off arm baby! Whoa. Not that I like armless babies or anything. It was just an intense moment.

-The schizophrenic man attacking Lexie. Just…pretty much everything that guy did. Whoever he is, he’s a really good actor.

-Lexie and Bailey’s scene. I really liked Lexie in this episode. And I don’t usually like Lexie. When she walked in a couple of seasons,  I hated her. On principle. Cause I loved Meredith.

-Arizona’s snappy surgery response. “waving bye-bye”. :)

-Bailey. She’s amazing. Chandra Wilson won the Emmy a few years back, right?

-”That’s how we know my job is safe. I reattach baby’s arms.”

-The joint surgery scene was filmed beautifully.

-Lex and Mark are cuuuute.

-Alex and Izzie are cute. For once. :P

-The baseball scene! :D

Things I Didn’t Like So Much:

-I think I’m morally obligated to hate Izzie’s “red” wig.

-Lexie tripping and landing in the blood.

-I didn’t like the actress playing the mom.Don’t ask me why.

-Izzie desperately taking off her wig made me sad for her.

-I have a strange feeling that Izzie is lying about not being cut….

-Olivia got cut! :( Bye, SyphNurse. We shall miss you fondly.

-Their (Mere and Cristina) relationships will die if they don’t pay more attention to their respective boyfriends’ opinions…

-I miss Callie.

-”I forgot I had cancer and I forgot he was dead.” Sadness.

I really liked this episode overall. Yay for Grey’s Anatomy turning back to weird cases and quirky residents rather than who’s sleeping with who in the on call room. Who will be cut next week? Tune in to find out…

This post is a lie.

No new review today- but expect a new one tomorrowish. A special one, at that! To start off our Classique review series (Classique meaning not a new/recent episode/show), I’m reviewing “The Injury”-truly an Office classic. One of my favorites. Thursday’s Grey’s Anatomy review should be up by Sunday night- I heard something about an alien? :P

Grey’s Anatomy S6 E1- Good Mourning

I won’t usually make explanations like this, but since Grey’s has more characters than any television show ever, I’m not doing little character reviews like for the Office. Just read and enjoy, kids.

Things that made me sad:

- Alex crying.

- George not looking like George (and, you know, being dead and all).

- the faces of the doctors as everyone ignored their pages.

- Mrs. O’Malley. Pretty much every time she was on screen made me sad.

- Propeller Girl, or Ceviche, or Clara. Whatever her name is, she’s a tragedy.

- The look on Izzie’s face when she touched George (AND the music. Good to know Grey’s still does something right)

- Izzie at the funeral until she started laughing.

- Bailey. Just…Bailey.

Things that redeemed all of that sadness:

- Callie’s comment about the freckle shaped like Texas.

- The chief’s inspiring speech. It was so Chief.

- Cristina and Owen (is that his name?) holding hands in the ambulance bay.

- The two hyper, valley-girl-ish friends of Propeller Girl

- The cinematography in general.

- Noble!Derek telling the Chief about the coup.

- Clara is a really awesome character.

- Clara’s cute little “from scratch” bit was some nice writing.

- The scene with Owen and Mrs. O’Malley.

- Bailey and the organ donation scene was amazing.

Things I noticed/ observed/ enjoyed:

- Didn’t understand the “Day #” counting at first, but I caught on. Nice editing to make that seem less static.

- I’ve figured out the Shonda Rhimes formula for good writing: Bland sentence + Detailed and emotional description of how the bland sentence somehow relates + Repeated bland sentence = Emmy award. (No offense, Shonda. I still think you’re the deity of hospital dramas.)

- I’m just walking in to the show about a season behind- so who is Arizona? I need to do some research. :P

- Did anyone else notice that Skinner from The X-Files is the jerkface telling Derek about the board’s plan?

- I like Lexie with long hair.

- Ellen Pompeo totally looks younger in this episode somehow.

- The laughing funeral scene reminded me of Steel Magnolias.

- Did I mention the organ donation scene was intensely awesome?

- Is there a new locker room?

- Did the Chief always have that neat little nameplate outside his door?

- Owen’s “burying myself” lines weirded me out.
